What is MyMedicare?
MyMedicare is a free, voluntary registration from the Australian Government that links you with your regular general practice and preferred GP. It helps your practice understand who it cares for, and supports continuity of care.
Who can register?
You need a Medicare card or DVA Veteran Card. Most people also need at least two face-to-face visits with the practice in the past two years. Exemptions apply in some circumstances, so ask our team if you are unsure.
How to register in the myGov app
The Express Plus Medicare app was retired on 1 November 2025, so registration is now done through myGov.
- Open the myGov app and sign in
- Go to your Medicare services and choose MyMedicare
- Search for Warwick Doctors
- Choose your preferred GP
- Review and submit your registration
Prefer some help?
You can also register through the myGov website, or ask our reception team to help when you are next at the clinic. Registration is not compulsory, and you can withdraw at any time.
What are the benefits?
Benefits include better continuity of care with your regular GP and practice. Eligible registered patients can also access longer telehealth consultations with their usual GP.
