Termsof use.
What this website is, what it is not, and the terms you accept by using it. In short: it is general information, not advice about you.
Every section, in one sentence. Choose one to read it in full.
About these terms
In shortUsing this website means you accept these terms.
These terms apply to your use of warwickdoctors.com.au and every page on it. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
They sit alongside our privacy policy, which explains how we handle your personal information, and our practice policies, which set out how the practice operates. The site is published by Warwick Doctors, 74–80 Albion St, Warwick QLD 4370.
General information only
In shortThis website is general information, not advice about you. Book to talk to a GP.
Everything on this website is general health information. It is not advice about your own situation, and it does not take account of your history, medicines, allergies or anything else a doctor would need to know.
Using this website does not create a doctor and patient relationship. That relationship begins when you attend an appointment and a doctor takes responsibility for your care.
If you are worried about a symptom, book an appointment or call (07) 4527 1070. Do not delay seeing a doctor because of something you read here, and do not start, stop or change a prescribed medicine based on this website.
Health Journal articles
In shortArticles are general information prepared by our team, not written or reviewed by a GP.
Articles in our Health Journal are prepared by the Warwick Doctors team for general information. They are not written or reviewed by a GP, they are not medical advice, and they may not reflect the most recent guidance by the time you read them.
Each article is dated. If an article raises a question about your own health, please book an appointment with a GP.
In an emergency
In shortThis website is not monitored. In an emergency, call 000.
This website is not monitored and is not a way to get urgent help. Nothing you submit through it reaches a doctor immediately.
If you or someone else is seriously unwell, with chest pain, severe breathlessness, signs of stroke, heavy bleeding, a seizure, a serious injury, or thoughts of self-harm, call 000 or go to the nearest emergency department at Warwick Hospital, Locke Street, Warwick.
For health advice at any hour, call healthdirect on 1800 022 222. For mental health support, call Lifeline on 13 11 14 or 1300 MH CALL (1300 642 255), Queensland’s mental health access line.
Booking an appointment online
In shortOnline bookings are handled by HotDoc. You can always call us instead.
Online bookings are handled by HotDoc, an independent third-party service. When you book through it you are also subject to HotDoc’s own terms and privacy policy. You can always book by calling (07) 4527 1070 instead.
A booking is a request for an appointment at a particular time, not a guarantee. Appointment times can shift when an earlier patient needs longer than expected, and urgent cases are prioritised. Please let us know as early as you can if you cannot attend.
Appointment availability, opening hours and services can change. The position at the time you contact reception is the one that applies.
Accuracy and currency
In shortWe keep the site current, but call reception to confirm anything important.
We take care to keep this site accurate and current. Health guidance changes, however, and information may become out of date between reviews.
Fees, opening hours, doctor availability and services can change without notice. If any of these matter to a decision you are making, call reception to confirm.
Where we describe a condition, test or procedure, we describe it in general terms. Your own experience may differ, and your doctor is the person to tell you how.
Links to other sites
In shortWe link to useful sites but do not control them.
We link to other organisations, such as healthdirect, My Health Record, HotDoc, Queensland Health, the RACGP, a pathology provider or a support service, because the information may be useful. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.
Contacting us
In shortPlease do not email health details. Call us instead.
Please do not send personal health information by email. Ordinary email is not a secure channel, and we do not accept patient enquiries or requests by email. Call (07) 4527 1070 or book an appointment. In an emergency, call 000.
The same applies to social media. Our accounts are not a clinical channel, we do not discuss individual patients there, and we cannot control who else can see what you post.
Your use of this site
In shortUse the site lawfully and do not misuse it.
You agree to use this website lawfully, and not to:
- Interfere with the site, its security or its availability, or attempt to gain unauthorised access
- Introduce malicious code of any kind
- Use automated means to scrape, harvest or republish content without permission
- Impersonate another person, or submit information you know to be false
- Post or transmit anything defamatory, offensive or unlawful through any form or account associated with the practice
We may restrict access to the site where we reasonably believe it is being misused.
Copyright and trade marks
In shortYou can print pages for personal use. The content belongs to Warwick Doctors.
Unless otherwise indicated, the content, design, photography and code on this site are the property of Warwick Doctors or are used under licence.
You may read, print and share pages for your own personal, non-commercial use, including bringing a page to an appointment. You may not reproduce, republish, adapt or sell any part of this site for commercial purposes without written permission.
Third-party marks, including the Medicare Bulk Billing Practice, MyMedicare, HotDoc and 4Cyte Pathology marks, remain the property of their owners and are used for identification only.
Advertising and testimonials
In shortWe follow the rules for advertising health services. We do not publish testimonials.
As a practice providing regulated health services, our website follows the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law and the Guidelines for advertising a regulated health service.
- You will not find patient reviews or testimonials about clinical care on this website. Section 133 of the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law prohibits testimonials in advertising a regulated health service, so we neither publish them nor ask patients for them
- We do not guarantee outcomes or suggest that any treatment is risk free
- Where we mention fees or bulk billing, we state the conditions, such as a valid Medicare card
- Titles such as specialist are only used where a practitioner holds the relevant registration
Feedback and comments
In shortWe welcome feedback. Raising a concern never affects your care.
Feedback can be given to any member of our team, left at reception, or put in writing to the Practice Manager. We will acknowledge it, look into it and tell you the outcome. Raising a concern will never affect the care you receive.
If you would rather raise something outside the practice, contact the Office of the Health Ombudsman (Queensland) on 133 646 or at oho.qld.gov.au. For privacy matters, see our privacy policy.
Liability
In shortWe are not liable for reliance on general website information. Your consumer rights still apply.
To the extent permitted by law, Warwick Doctors is not liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect or consequential, arising from your use of, or reliance on, information on this website, or from the site being unavailable, interrupted or containing an error.
This does not limit our responsibility for the clinical care we provide to you, which is governed by the ordinary duties a medical practice owes its patients.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or any other law, that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Privacy
In shortOur privacy policy explains how we handle your information.
How we collect, use, store and disclose your personal information is set out in full in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: you can read this site without telling us who you are, we do not sell your information, and what you tell a doctor stays between you, that doctor and the team caring for you, other than in the limited circumstances the privacy policy describes.
Governing law
In shortThese terms are governed by Queensland law.
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, that part is severed and the rest continues to apply.
Changes to these terms
In shortThe current version is always on this page.
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this page, and the review date at the top shows when it was last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means the updated terms apply.
