All Services
Book an AppointmentBook a script review before you run out. Your GP checks your medicine is still right for you, and sends your eScript straight to your phone. GP consultations are bulk billed for eligible patients with a valid Medicare card.
Scripts need a consultation so your GP can check your medicine is still safe and right for you.
A script is a clinical decision. Regular reviews help your GP pick up side effects, interactions or changes in your health, and keep your treatment working for you.
Book a consult, or ask about telehealth, at least a week before your medicine or repeats run out.
Your GP checks how the medicine is working, side effects, interactions, and any tests that are due.
Most scripts are electronic. You receive a token by SMS or email, or your script can be added to your Active Script List.
Show your token, or let the pharmacist access your Active Script List, to have it dispensed.
Move the slider to the number of days of medicine you have left.
Tokens: an eScript is sent to you as a QR code token by SMS or email. Keep the message, as each token is used once.
Active Script List: ask your pharmacist to set one up so your scripts are stored securely and can be accessed by participating pharmacies with your consent.
Paper scripts: still available if you prefer.

Most PBS scripts can be dispensed, with any repeats, within 12 months of being written. Some medicines have different rules.
For some PBS medicines for stable, ongoing conditions, your GP may prescribe 60 days of medicine at a time. Your GP will let you know if this suits your medicine.
Some medicines, such as strong pain relief and some ADHD medicines, have extra legal requirements in Queensland, including monitoring through QScript. Your GP will explain what applies to you.
If you take several medicines, your GP may suggest a medication review with a pharmacist, including a Home Medicines Review for eligible patients.
Bring a list of everything you take, including vitamins, supplements and over-the-counter medicines.
If you are new to the practice, bring your current medicines or a list from your previous GP or pharmacist, so your new GP can review them safely.
More detail on common questions. Open a topic to read more.
Take medicines as prescribed, keep an up-to-date list, and tell your GP about any vitamins, supplements or over-the-counter medicines.
Some medicines need to be reduced slowly. Talk to your GP before stopping or changing any medicine.
Your pharmacist can help with how to take your medicine, side effects and interactions.
Plan scripts well before travel, and carry medicines in original packaging with a letter if needed.
Keep medicines out of reach of children, and return unwanted medicines to a pharmacy for safe disposal.
Book an appointment if any of these apply to you.
