What does bulk billing mean?
Bulk billing means Medicare pays the clinic directly for your GP consultation, so there is no out-of-pocket cost to you for that consult. You do not pay at the desk and then claim a rebate later.
Warwick Doctors on Albion Street is a Medicare Bulk Billing Practice. GP consultations are bulk billed for eligible patients with a valid Medicare card, including adults, children, pensioners and families.
Which visits are bulk billed?
- GP consultations in the clinic
- Phone and video telehealth consults, where suitable
- National Immunisation Program vaccines
- Health assessments for eligible patients
- Mental health care plans
- GP chronic condition management plans
What may attract a fee?
Some services sit outside Medicare or involve procedures and consumables. These include procedures such as biopsies, excisions and IUD insertion, vaccines that are not on the National Immunisation Program, pre-employment and driver medicals, many forms, and services for insurers, employers and WorkCover.
Reception will always confirm the cost before your appointment, so there are no surprises.
What should I bring?
- Your Medicare card, or your digital card in the myGov app
- Any concession cards
- Photo ID
- A list of your medicines
How do I book?
You can book online with HotDoc at any time, or call reception on (07) 4527 1070, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Let reception know if you need a longer appointment for more than one concern.
